A Day with a Mini Data Projector

on Tuesday, 02 September 2014. Posted in Blog

Gone are the days when one had to struggle before a presentation or a meeting to ensure that the projector is in place and the laptop is connected and working fine.  As technology advances, devices become smarter and one device replaces multiple devices. Instead of carrying my entire office with me, I just carry a mini data projector. What's more, this micro projector is also the perfect entertainer. I can now carry my home theatre with me wherever I go.

When I wake up in the morning, I watch the daily news on the portable projector. I just point it to any flat wall or a portable screen and my TV is ready. The mini data projector also has onboard speakers and though they don't have 1,000 watt output, they are loud enough to be heard clearly inside the room.

While leaving for office, I simply pick up the projector and put it inside my pocket or my laptop bag. In the meeting, I don't need to connect a laptop or a computer to the projector because this mini data projector has an onboard operating system and a flash memory of 2gb. I can navigate easily with the help of the touch pad on the portable projector. In case I need to type something, I can use a wireless keyboard with the projector. If I need more storage space, I can simply use the SD card slot to insert a memory card. Thanks to the rechargeable battery that has a backup of eighty minutes, I don't need to worry about power supply even when I have to deliver my presentation at a client’s location. The mini data projector is also Wi-Fi enabled and hence connecting to the internet is no longer a problem.

Once I am back home, I just love to relax and watch movies with my family. My mini data projector can easily display projections that are 80" wide. It can connect to iPod, camera, smartphones, DVD, etc. and can play movies in a variety of formats. I just need to plug in the device, which has a movie, and play the movie. When I am not watching a movie, my kids grab the projector and connect it to their gaming console. The game seems livelier on a bigger screen. At times, when our friends come over, we use the projector to share our pictures and videos. The Wi-Fi capability also ensures that we can quickly view our Facebook accounts or browse the internet to check mail during a popcorn break.

The mini data projector has proved to be an economical and smart solution to my personal and official needs. I couldn't have asked for more from such a tiny device.
