Large Scale Entertainment with Mini Projectors
At the end of a tiring work week, every one likes to relax and be entertained. People spend thousands of dollars on leisure and entertainment, fancy gadgets and expensive home theatres. However, home theatres do not always require an expenditure of a couple of thousand dollars. With mini projectors, a home theatre can be created for under a thousand dollars.
Portable mini projectors can be used to convert your living room into a home theatre. These projectors weigh just over a couple of hundred grams and can fit right into the palm of your hands. The projector screen can be chosen from a range of inexpensive portable screens but any flat pale-coloured surface can be used for projections.
Projection size can be from 20" to 100" (diagonal measurement) equivalent TV screen size. At the top side, that's enough to entertain a family of 15-20 members. Some mini projectors have an HDMI input port and this makes the viewing experience more pleasant due to the improved image quality.
Unlike typical home theatre systems, pico projectors are not fixed and they can be moved around the house. So you don’t need a dedicated room to install a home theatre with a portable projector. A few mini projectors also have onboard speakers but they may not be a good replacement for the normal home theatre speakers and a small portable speaker set may be required.
Besides home theatres, mini projectors can also be used to share videos and images with family and friends. Pico projectors can connect to laptops, iPod, mobile phones, DVD or almost anything with an AV output. This makes it easier to share photos and play videos. A mini projector can also be Wi-Fi enabled (e.g. HOTS AndiMaxx) and this in turn allows a user to share pictures or videos from the internet on a large screen.
These handheld projectors can be mounted on a tripod stand or kept on the floor or the table. They can be installed in kids’ rooms. The mini projectors make an excellent gaming console. The entire family can enjoy playing a video game on a wide big screen without having to invest in a new LCD or Plasma TV.
Mini projectors are available in a wide range of choices. Prices range between $300 and $900 depending on their luminosity, size, features, etc. but they are value for money. Most micro projectors work with LED and this ensures a longer battery life and it leaves a green imprint. So make a smart move and buy a mini projector to serve your multiple needs of home entertainment instead of spending thousands of dollars on individual items.
